The Six Golden Rules of GoGet

For GoGet to work well for everyone, we have a few rules that members need to follow. They’re about protecting you, and making GoGet a great experience for everyone.

  • Smartcard locks and unlocks

    Your Smartcard stays on you and unlocks and locks the vehicle during your booking, the car keys stay in the car.

  • Check for damage

    It is important to check for damage at the start of your booking and report any new damage before you start driving.

  • Refill at ¼ tank

    Refill at ¼ tank

    GoGet pays for fuel. If fuel drops to a ¼ tank, fill the entire tank and use the GoGet fuel card to pay.

  • Keep within your booking time

    Keep within your booking time

    One GoGet services more than 30 different members in the area, use the app to modify or extend your booking.

  • Return vehicle

    Return vehicle

    Make sure to return the vehicle to its pod, on time. Remember to lock the car with your smartcard before your booking ends.

  • Keep it clean

    Keep it clean

    Leave it as you would like to find it. Take all of your rubbish and belongings with you, if you make a mess clean it up.

  • How do I join GoGet?

    Simply click the Join button anywhere on our site to register. Once you’ve been approved (usually within 24 hours) , you’ll pick up a GoGet smartcard or we’ll mail you one. Once your smartcard is activated you can start booking cars on GoGet’s iPhone or Android app.

  • How soon can I drive with GoGet?

    If you pick up a smart card, you can join GoGet and be in a car within a day or so! Sign up online, and elect to pick up a smartcard from a pickup location near you. Once you’ve got your smart card activate it in your app and you’ll be good to go!

  • How much does GoGet cost?

    GoGet plans range from first year free to $30 a month. The plans with higher membership fees have the lowest booking charges. Compare GoGet plans here. GoGet covers the cost of fuel, rego, insurance, and maintenance. We include 100km free for day bookings.

  • Are there GoGet cars near me?

    Probably! There are over 3,000 GoGet cars and vans in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. You’ll find cars and vans conveniently parked on the street, in car parks, and at shopping centres and airports. Head to our Find Cars page to see cars near you.
